【日本のおばあちゃん、香港でカンフーをする】～60歳からの香港旅～

Sunday……

We had a relaxed time in the Kowloon Park by the hotel.

日曜日……ホテルそばの九龍公園でのんびり過ごすことにしました。

Kowloon Park was the military base

during the colonial era of Britain.

九龍公園はイギリス植民地時代には

イギリス軍の基地でした。

After that

the role for military base was over,

it was open to the public as park

since 1970.

その後、軍事基地としての役割が終わり

１９７０年からは公園として一般開放されています。

We can go there easily that

it's in the middle of downtown, Tsim Sha Tsui.

尖沙咀（チムサアチョイ）という繁華街のど真ん中に

ある公園なので、手軽に行けます。

The pond of flamingo is the popular spot

in Kowloon park.

九龍公園の人気スポット　フラミンゴの池です。

I have seen them on TV or photo,

but it was the first time to see real flamingo.

テレビや写真ではフラミンゴを見たことがありましたが、

実物は今回が初めてでした。

He(She ?) is looking for fish.

彼（彼女）は魚を探しています。

Flamingo is called 大紅鶴 in Chinese.

フラミンゴは中国語で”大紅鶴”というんですね。

Some beautiful colored birds

are taking a bath.

きれいな色の小鳥たちが水浴び中です。

A gym was in the Kowloon Park,

there were some circles.

九龍公園内には体育館があって

いろいろなサークルがありました。

長者旅行　is trip circle of elderly people ?

長者旅行って高齢者の旅行サークルでしょうか？

長者 means rich people in Japan,

but it means elderly people in Hong Kong.

長者といえば、日本ではお金持ちのことですが

香港では高齢者のことです。

That means,

I'm 長者 in Hong Kong.

ということは、私は香港では長者です。

This is swimming circle

for adult and senior?

こちらは大人とシニアのスイミングスクールかな？

バドミントンの羽根の形のごみ箱

Badminton is written 羽毛球

in Cantonese(Chinese).

バドミントンは広東語（中国語）で”羽毛球”です。

Badminton is written 羽球

in Japanese.

バドミントンは日本語では”羽球”です。

Same Chinese character,

little different Chinese character,

completely different Chinese character.

I think it's interesting.

同じ漢字、ちょっとだけ違う漢字、全然違う漢字

面白いと思います。

We went out from Kowloon Park once and we were looking for restaurant for lunch.

九龍公園をいったん出て、お昼ご飯を食べる店を探しました。

The big police station building was

next to Kowloon Park.

九龍公園横に大きな警察署ビルがありました。

I saw a signboard

"Watch out for "It's me."scam.

”オレオレ詐欺に注意”の看板を見ました。

"It's me"scam of Japan flew in Hong Kong.

日本のオレオレ詐欺が香港に流入しました。。

Most trick of scam in Hong Kong

is related to Chinese mainland.

香港の詐欺の手口はほとんどが

中国大陸と関係しています。

詐欺例その１

"Your load that you carried to China,

is illegal in China."

Contact from a con man pretending

to be Ministry of Public Security in China.

「あなたが中国大陸に運んだ荷物は

中国の法律に違反している」と

中国公安を装う詐欺師から連絡がある。

They are worried and contact,

then the con man induce them to fake HP

and make them input personal information

and cheat them out of money.

不安になり連絡すると、偽物のＨＰに誘導し、

個人情報を入力させ、お金をだまし取る

"I 'm caught by

Ministry of Public Security in China,

because I was involved in trouble,

so please transfer bail."

Contact from a con man pretending

to be their family.

「中国大陸でトラブルに巻き込まれて公安に捕まった。

保釈金を送金してほしい」と

家族を装う詐欺師から連絡がある。

We had an early lunch at the local restaurrant close to Kowloon Park.

ちょっと早めのお昼ごはんを九龍公園そばのローカルレストランで食べました。

If only us go to Chinese local restaurant,

we didn't have confidence,

but our eldest daughter who was working

for 2 years in Shanghai was with us,

so we went there.

ローカルレストランは私たち２人だったら、

自信がありませんでしたが、

昔、上海で２年間仕事をしていた長女が

一緒だったので入りました。

But we didn't need to worry about it.

ところが心配する必要はありませんでした。

There were menu in Cantonese

and English.

広東語＋英語表記のメニューがありました。

I found popular "Demae Itcho"

on the shelf.

棚の上にありましたよ　人気の出前一丁！

I asked T-chan what this noodle is.

Ｔちゃんに、この麺が何かききました。

It's called "Bsen"in China.

これは中国でビーセンといわれる麺です。

Rice vermicelli is thick

and Bsen is thin.

ビーフンは太くて、ビーセン（線）は細い。

In China,it is said that

if they eat long noodles,

they live long.

中国では長～い麺を食べると

長生きするといわれています。

This topping of Udon-noodles is

interesting, isn't it ?

うどんのトッピングが面白いでしょう？

They are raw carrot, corns,cabbage

it's a Udon like ramen-noodles.

生の人参やコーン、キャベツがトッピングされて

ラーメンのようなうどんです。

This Udon was chewy Sanuki-Udon.

このうどん、シコシコの讃岐うどんでした。

This is deep-fried ball of fish paste

called "Satumaage"in Japanese.

これは日本語でさつま揚げと言われている

魚のすり身を揚げたものです。

Hong Kong is ranked the first in the world for the average life span now

Why ?

①"Medicine and food have the same roots."

　　They prevent illness to have good meals.

　　For example, they don't eat cold food or drink,

　　　　eat seasonal foods and Soup with Medical Herbs.

②Many Hong Konger do Tai Chi or exercise in nearby park in the morning

　then they enjoy eating snackes with tea and talking in their favorite shop.

③The country is small, so they don't lonely if they don't live with family.

香港は現在、平均寿命世界一です。

なぜ、香港は世界一長寿なのでしょうか。

理由その１　「医食同源」

　　　　　　　　よい食事で病気を予防します。

　　　　　　　　例えば、冷たいものを口にしない、旬のものを食べる、薬膳スープを飲む……

理由その２　近くの公園で、朝、太極拳や体操をして一日が始まり、

　　　　　　　　その後、友達と行きつけの店で飲茶とおしゃべりを楽しむ香港人が多い

理由その３　国土が狭いので、家族が同居してなくても近い所に

　　　　　　　　住んでいるため、孤独にならない

We came back to Kowloon Park.

九龍公園に戻ってきました。

This place is Hong Kong(China) after all,

isn't it ?

ここはやはり香港（中国）ですよね。

I asked T-chan about the meaning.

どんな意味かＴちゃんにききました。

"Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart

and hold it by your hand

then turn it clockwise or anti-clockwise.

「肩の幅に足を開いて、手で器械を握り、

時計の方向または反対方向に回す」

Let's introduce ourselves clockwise.

時計回りに（順番に）自己紹介しましょう。

Exercise equipment was used

not only elderly people,

but also young people.

運動器具は高齢者だけでなく、

若い人にも使われていました。

not only A, but also B　　AだけでなくBも

I like not only Spring, but also Fall.　私は春だけでなく秋も好きです。

There was a pool in the Kowloon Park.

プールが九龍公園内にありました。

But there was no water in the pool.

でも水は入っていませんでした。

I'd like to swim such a pool

while seeing high buildings.

高層ビルを見ながらこんなプールで泳ぎたいな。

She is cleaning the park

wearing the umbrella on her head.

傘を頭につけて公園の掃除をしています。

It protects the skin from the sun widely

than hat.

帽子よりも広く顔を日差しから守ってくれます。

Not only small umbrella was sold

but also large one.

小さい傘だけでなく、大きい傘も

販売されているんです。

The name is "ATAMAN-BRELLA".

その名も「アタマンブレラ」といいます。

I think it's very useful.

これは大変便利だと思います。

But I don't have the courage to wear it.

でもこれをかぶる勇気がありません（笑）。

Lots of "Ama" came to Kowloon Park

with lunch-box.

たくさんのアマさんたちが

九龍公園にお弁当を持って来ていました。

Ama means live-in housekeeper.

アマさんとは住み込みの家政婦さんのことです。

Their only pleasure is Sunday.

彼女たちの唯一の楽しみが日曜日です。

Park on Sundays are full of Ama is

unique to Hong Kong.

日曜日の公園がアマさんたちであふれているのは

香港ならではの光景なのです。

Speaking of housekeeper in Japan,

we have a image that

they are employed in rich people's homes.

日本では家政婦さんといえば、お金持ちの家に

雇われているというイメージがあります。

But in Hong Kong,

they are employed in ordinary homes.

でも香港では一般家庭でも

雇われているのです。

In the background,

there is the economic situation of Hong Kong.

その背景には香港の経済的な事情が

深く関わっています。

If they are not working couple,

it's difficult for them to live in Hong Kong

that the rent is very high in the world.

世界でもトップクラスの高い家賃相場の香港で

夫婦共働きでなければ生活していけないという

実態があるのです。

They were small group.

小さなグループでした。

They were here and there.

あっちにもこっちにも。

This is a "Open space of Kung fu".

カンフー広場です。

We can watch the stage performance

of Kung fu from 2:30 p.m. every Sunday.

毎週日曜日の午後２時半から

カンフー実演を見学できます。

However don't imagine the Kung fu

of the Hong Kong movie

但し、香港映画のカンフーを想像してはいけません。

They are amateurs ,

so it's very sober.

普通の人のカンフーなので、地味～ですから。

Actually I did Kung fu in the Kowloon Park.

Hurray !　My small dream came true.

I'm grad I have practiced Kung fu everyday.

Kowloon Mosque is next to Kowloon Park.

It has history for more than 100 years.

It was built for Indian Muslim of British Army in those days.

九龍モスクは九龍公園のお隣にあります。

１００年以上の歴史があります。

その当時、イギリス軍のインド系イスラム教徒のために建てられたそうです。

Kowloon Mosque was under construction.

九龍モスクは工事中でした。

Anyone can visit there for free.

(from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

見学無料で誰でも入れます。

（午前１０時～午後６時）

Kowloon Mosque is the biggest mosque

in Hong Kong.

ここは香港で最も大きなイスラム教寺院です。

Praying time was displayed on the monitor.

礼拝の時間が表示されていました。

Many Muslim pray there

in worship 5 times a day.

１日５回の礼拝には多くのイスラム教徒がお祈りします。

There is a mosque for men in the first floor,

and a mosque for women in the second floor.

１階に男性用礼拝堂、２階に女性用礼拝堂があります。

It's not popular among tourists,

but we visited there.

観光客には人気がありませんが、

私たちは見学しました。

Please take off your shoes here.

靴はここでお脱ぎ下さい。

This is a mosque for women.

女性用礼拝堂です。

My eldest daughter is not Muslim,

but she prayed there.

私の娘（長女）はイスラム教徒では

ありませんが、礼拝しました。

A woman helper took care of her kindly.

ひとりの世話係の女性が娘に親切に

お世話してくれました。

Islam is Idol ban,

so the room was simple.

イスラム教は偶像禁止なので、中は質素でした。

He sold halal lunch box

in front of the mosque.

モスクの前では

ハラール弁当を売っていました。

●昔、インドのイスラム教徒の町に先生は泊まっていました。静かだからです。

　　　　　そこでイスラムの１日のリズムがわかったそうです。

　　　　　その中で女性が道を通る時間帯があって、その時に男性が通ると大変な問題になるそうです。

●「ここでカンフーをしてみて下さい」とクラスメートに言われた私は、

　　とっさに「え？いやです。恥ずかしいです。」ということばが思いつきませんでした。

　　家に帰ってきて考えてみたら、多分　"Oh no, It's too shy."　かなと思います。
