【私の足の裏の魚の目　ビフォーアフター】～60歳からの香港旅～

The 10th dayーNovember 19th (Monday) 2018　　

１０日目―２０１８年１１月１９日（月）

We went to Chuen Lung Village

　　 in New Territories(suburbs Hong Kong)

　　for Dim Sum(eating snacks with tea) with our second daughter.

Dim Sum of Chuen Lung Village is popular

　　and it closes before noon,so we left at 7:40 a.m..

It took about 1 hour from Tsim Sha Tsui to Chuen Lung Village.

……It was like a short trip.

私たちは娘（香港在住の次女）と香港の郊外　新界にある川龍村（チュンロン村）へ

　　飲茶に行きました。

川龍村の飲茶は人気があり、お昼までには閉店してしまうので、朝７時４０分に出発しました。

尖沙咀（チムサアチョイ）から川龍村まで約１時間……ちょっとしたショートトリップでした。

These are daughter's favorite sneakers.

娘愛用のスニーカーです。

She went to Chuen Lung Village

wearing the sneakers.

彼女はこのスニーカーを履いて川龍村に行きました。

I knew five-toed socks,

but I didn't know five-toed sneakers.

５本指靴下は知っていましたが、

５本指のスニーカーは知りませんでした。

It's close to the feeling of barefoot.

裸足の感覚に近いようです。

But it's too much bother to put on them.

でもこれ、履く時に面倒ですよ～。

We arrived at Tsuen Wan Station,

the final stop of MTR-Red-Line,

from Tsim Sha Tsui Station at 8:15a.m..

尖沙咀駅から地下鉄赤ラインの終点

ツェンワン駅に８時１５分に着きました。

It was carefree for final stop.

終点なので気楽でした。

We went out from B1exit of Tsuen Wan St.

ツェンワン駅のＢ１出口から出ました。

Mini-bus terminal was on Chung On Street

ミニバス乗り場はチュンオン通りにありました。

We walked the covered footbridge.

屋根付きの歩道橋を歩きました。

This is the mini-bus terminal.

ここがミニバス乗り場です。

Those photos(movie stars ?) over there

are landmark.

道の向こう側にある映画スター？の

写真が目印になります。

The No.80 mini-bus bound for

Chuen Lung Village came there.

川龍村行きのミニバス８０番が来ました。

But unluckily the line is so long,

we couldn't get on the bus.

でも残念ながら、長い行列で

このバスには乗れませんでした。

We waited for the next bus.

次のバスを待ちました。

The starting point is here

and the last stop is Chuen Lung Village.

起点はここで川龍村が終点です。

Taking a bus is difficult for foreigners,

but taking the 80 bus is easy.

外国人にとってバスに乗るのはむずかしいですが、

８０番バスに乗るのは簡単です。

Because the last stop is Chuen Lung Village.

なぜならば、チュンロン村が終点だからです。

The next bus came there at 8:35 a.m.

８時３５分に次のバスは来ました。

We can use Octopus Card.

オクトパスカードが使えました。

If you pay in cash, you can't get the change.

もし現金ならお釣りはもらえません。

We arrived at Chuen Lung Village at ten to nine.

私たちは９時１０分前に、川龍村に到着しました。

There were 2 Dim Sum shops in the village.

村内には２つの飲茶店がありました。

They are 彩龍茶楼 and

Duen Kee Chinese Restaurant端記茶楼.

彩龍茶楼と端記茶楼です。

We went to Duen Kee.

私たちは端記茶楼に行きました。

Unknown food put on the water.

正体不明のものが水に漬けてありました。

In front of the shop,

chicken feet were soaked in the water.

店の前に、鶏の足先が水につけてありました。

Old standby of Dim Sum "Chicken feet "

is popular among Kantonese.

飲茶の定番　”鳳爪”は

香港人には人気の飲茶です。

Hong Kong imports them from Japan

because Japanese don't have custom

to have them.

日本人は鶏の足先を食べる習慣がないので、

香港は日本からそれらを輸入しています。

There were more than 20 birdcage

on the second floor of the restaurant.

お店の２階には鳥かごが２０以上ありました。

Some men who were proud of their birds,

brought them there.

鳥自慢のおじさんたちが

それらの鳥かごを持ってきたんです。

Dim Sum and little bird

……It's just Hong Kong Culture.

飲茶と小鳥……まさに香港文化です。

It was a bird with purple beak

that I had never seen it before.

見たこともないような紫色のくちばしの小鳥でした。

The talkative bird was born with a big mouth.

口から先に生まれてきたような

おしゃべりな鳥でした。

Why is the birdcage covered with white cloth ?

なぜ鳥かごには白い布がかけられているのでしょうか？

I heard because if they don't put cloth,

birds don't sing from fear.

布をかけてないと、小鳥が恐怖から

鳴かなくなるからとのことです。

But I think that the reason is wrong.

でも私はその理由は間違っていると思います。

I imagine……If I were a bird.

私がもし小鳥だったら……と想像してみます。

I cry,"I can't see anything !

Remove the cloth !"

「何も見えないよ～。布をとって、とって！」と

叫ぶでしょうね（笑）。

This restarant is full-self-service.

こちらのお店はフルセルフサービスです。

First we take a seat wherever we like.

まず好きな席に座ります。

Next we prepare the tea by ourselves.

次に自分でお茶の用意をします。

Chuen Lung Village is famous

for its pure water.

川龍村は水がきれいなことで有名です。

Long-used aluminum trays have a good taste.

使い込まれたアルミのお盆は味がありますね。

We choose favorite snack

and take them to our seat by ourselves.

好きな飲茶を選んで

自分の席に自分で持っていきます。

This red washbowl is

for washing chopsticks or anything.

この赤い洗面器は箸などを洗うために置いてあります。

They had a custom of washing dishes

by theirselves in Hong Kong in the past,

香港では昔は自分で

お皿を洗う習慣がありました。

This custom still remains today.

今でもその習慣が残っています。

The specialty of the restaurant is

boiled watercress.

この店の名物料理はクレソンのお浸しです。

it's so fresh because

there are watercress farm in the village.

クレソン畑が村にあるのでとても新鮮なんです。

A woman was boiling watercress.

女性がクレソンをゆでていました。

We ordered it to her.

彼女にクレソンを注文しました。

Wow ! This is too much !

わあ！こんなにたくさん！

In Japan, boiled leaves is dished up a little.

日本ではお浸しはお皿にちょっぴりしか

盛りつけられませんよね。

But in Hong Kong, it was didhed up a lot.

でも香港では、山のように盛りつけられていました。

If I were alone, I couldn't eat it.

1人だったら食べらなかったでしょうね。

We put the soy sauce to watercress that

I bought for Sushi the other day.

先日、お寿司用に買ったお醤油パックが

かばんに入っていたので、クレソンにかけました。

High-grade persimmons made in Japan

were sold in the restaurant.

このお店では日本産の高級柿が

販売されていました。

40 tons of persimmons made in Takayama

are imported in one year.

高山の柿が、香港に年間４０トン

輸出されているそうです。

Persimmons that we bought in supermarket,

were made in Korea and China.

私たちがスーパーで買った柿は

韓国産と中国産でしたが。

This steamed bun is called

"馬拉? Ma-ra-kao" in Cantonese.

この蒸しパンは”マーラーカオ”と言います。

It's just like steamed bread

that my mother cooked in the past.

昔、母が作ってくれた蒸しパンのようでした。

Mara means Malaysia

and Kao means cake in Cantonese.

広東語でマーラーはマレーシア、

カオはケーキの意味です。

The crack has good taste.

このお皿のひび割れは味がありますね。

I paied all together later.

料金は最後にまとめて支払いました。

I called the staff to the table.

店員さんをテーブルに呼びました。

"May I have the bill please ?"is called

"n go-i maidan" in Cantonese.

「お勘定して下さい」は広東語で

「ン・ゴーイ　　マイダン」です。

This is a typical Chinese calendar.

中国らしいカレンダーです。

After we enjoyed Morning Dim Sum, we took a walk in the village.

早茶（朝の飲茶）を楽しんだ後、村の中をお散歩しました。

This is a Parking of Duen Kee.

ここは端記茶楼の駐車場です。

We went down the stairs ……

この階段を下りてみると……

There was watercress farm

as far as the eye can see.

見渡す限り　西洋菜（クレソン）畑が

広がっていました。

The clear water from mountain

was beautiful.

透き通った山の水がきれいでした。

Watercress doesn't grow

only in the clear water place

like Wasabi in Japan.

クレソンは日本のわさびのように

水がきれいな場所でないと育ちません。

That's why it's called watercress.

だから英語でwatercressと言うんですね。

”ごみは家にお持ち帰り下さい。”

We passed watercress farm

then there was a light hiking trails.

クレソン畑の道を過ぎると、

軽いハイキングコースがありました。

We have a image of concrete jungle

to Hong Kong,

but there is such a mountain.

コンクリートジャングルのイメージの

香港ですが、こんなお山もあります。

We were surprised at this.

これ、びっくりしましたよ！

We thought it was an ownerless dog.

野犬かと思いました。

But as soon as we found it fake,

we laughed so much.

でも作り物とわかった途端、笑いました。

When we went up the handmade stairs,

there was a grave.

この手作り階段を登った上に

お墓がありました。

Actually there was a photo of the grave here.

実はここにそのお墓の写真がありました。

When I show T-chan the photo,

I was scolded by her.

それを見せたところ、

私はＴちゃんにしかられました。

She told me,

"Graves are dead people's,

so we mustn't take a photo."

「お墓は亡くなった人のものだから

写真を撮ってはいけない。」

Yes, that's right.

I'm thinking about it.

はい、その通りですね。反省しています。

I noticed that I didn't have my umbrella there.

ここで私は傘がないのに気づきました。

I found it on the road.

道で見つけました。

Phew,what a relief.

あ～よかった。

I had dropped or left this umbrella

over and over again.

私はこれまで、何回も何回もこの傘を

落としたり、忘れたりしてきました。

But I always had found it

でもいつも見つけてきました。

There was a great house along the road.

道沿いに立派なお家がありました。

Perhaps it's the house of president

of Duen Kee?

もしかして端記茶楼の社長さんの家？

We came back Duen Kee.

端記茶楼に戻ってきました。

I asked the staff,

"Where is the restroom?"

in Cantonese.

店の人に「トイレはどこですか？」

広東語で「チーソーハイビンドウ？」と

ききました。

The restroom was all the way back in this aisle.

トイレはこの通路の一番奥にありました。

We went back to Tsuen Wan by mini-bus, too.

帰りもミニバスでツェンワンに戻りました。

There was a Chinese medicine clinic

near Tsuen Wan Station.

ツェンワン駅そばに中医のクリニックがありました。

鶏眼 means foot corn in English.

鶏眼とは英語で魚の目のことです。

I had some foot corns on my sole.

私は足の裏にいくつかの魚の目がありました。

Especially my corn on my right foot

was becoming very hard.

特に右足の魚の目が、

物凄く硬くなってきていました。

It costed 530HK＄.

５３０香港ドル（８０００円）でした。

We arrived Tsuen Wan Station.

ツェンワン駅に着きました。

We went back to Tsim Sha Tsui

by MTR red-line.

地下鉄赤ラインで尖沙咀へ戻りました。

It's easy to understand

that stop stations are displayed

in the MTR train.

地下鉄内には駅が表示されて

いるのでわかりやすいです。

I saw collection and delivery

by the handcart in Hong Kong.

手押し台車集配を香港で見ました。

"KuronekoYamato" is a company of

home delivery service in Japan.

クロネコヤマトは日本の宅急便の会社です。

Do you know "Shanghai Pedicure", everyone ?

Pedicure means polishing toenails

　　 including remove the dead skin.

"Shanghai Pedicure" means removing the dead skin,

　　no polishing toenails.

That day I made a big determination that I had my sole corns removed.

皆さんは、上海ペディキュアをご存知ですか？

ペディキュアとは足の爪にカラーを塗ることですが、足の裏の角質を取り除くことを含みます。

香港の「上海ペディキュア」とは、足の裏の角質やタコ・魚の目を取ることを指し、

　　カラーは塗りません。

私はこの日、一大決心をして、魚の目を取り除いてもらうことにしました。

This is Rendezvous Haiphone Road

near our hotel.

ホテルそばの足藝舎漢口通り店（２号店）です。

This massage clinic was Clear Accounting.

こちらのマッサージ店は明朗会計でした。

The menu was written in English

Japanese and Hangul, too.

I had been in trouble

for more than 50 years

since 10 years old.

１０歳の時から５０年以上、困っていました。

Especially my corn on my right foot

was becoming very hard.

特に右足の魚の目が物凄く硬くなってきていました。

First I soaked my foot in the hot foot bath.

まずは足湯につけて角質をふやかしていきます。

Foot corn is written 鶏眼 in Chinese character.

魚の目は漢字で鶏眼と書かれます。

In Japan, the job

that they can use cutlery to body,

are only doctor and berber.

日本では体に刃物を使ってもいい

職業は「医者」と「理容師」だけです。

This is a cutlery set for Shanghai Pedicure.

上海ペディキュア用の刃物セットです。

The 7 tools for profesional are cool.

プロの七つ道具はクールですね。

He is a expert of Shanghai Pedicure.

彼が上海ペディキュアの達人です。

First he observed sole of the foot

then he chose the knife

depends on the corn

and removed them one by one.

まず足の裏をジ～っと観察してから

それに合った刃物を選んで

一つずつ、削っていきました。

It was just a professional skill.

まさにプロフェッショナルの技でした。

It was not painful at all.

全く痛くなかったです。

He has a serious look on his face.

真剣な表情です。

My dead skin was large amaunt,

so lots of staffs came to look them

and laughed so much.

It was fun.

私の魚の目があんまりすごいので、

足芸舎の従業員が見に来て

キャーキャー笑いました。

それが面白かった。

Hong Kong is not Chip Society basically.

香港は基本的にチップ社会ではありません。

But I gave him a tip to thank you,

I was said "Xie Xie"in Mandarin Chinese,

not Cantonese.

でも彼に感謝してチップを上げたら、

広東語ではなく、

中国標準語でありがとう「シェシェ」と言われました。

He is from Chinese Mainland after all.

やはり彼は中国本土出身でした。

be about to do は「まさに～しようとしている」

右足に３つ、左足に２つの魚の目がありました。

AFTER（アフター）

My feet became beautiful with no blood.

一滴の血も流さず、私の足は

きれいになりました。

It's just like baby's foot.(lie)

まるで赤ちゃんの足のようです（うそ）。

I'd like to visit Hong Kong again

just for Shanghai Pedicure.

この上海ペディキュアだけのために

また香港に行きたいくらいです。

アフターのその後についての報告

Actually some weeks after returning Japan,

I had corns again.

実は帰国２～３週間後、また魚の目が再発しました。

I knew it was coming,

but I wanted to see beautiful sole

even for a moment.

こうなることはわかっていましたが、

ほんの一瞬でも

私はきれいな足の裏を見たかったのです。。

After Shanghai Pedicure, we looked at the view from apartment of daughter.

上海ペディキュアの後、娘の高層マンションから景色を見ました。

I found a Beckoning Cat !　　　　　招き猫発見！

I found the Peninsula,

luxury hotel in Hong Kong.

香港の最高級ホテル”ザ・ペニュンシュラ”

を見つけました。

When I looked at the building,

a helicopter flew and landed

on the green rooftop.

このビルを見ていたら、ヘリコプターが

飛んできて、緑の屋上に着陸しました。

Actually it was a sightseeing helicopter.

実はこれは遊覧ヘリだったんです。

Sightseeing flight for 15minutes

costs 2300HK.

１５分の遊覧飛行が

２３００香港ドル（３５０００円）です。

Anyone can get on the helicopter

not only the guest of Peninsula.

このヘリコプターはペニンシュラ宿泊客に限らず、

誰でも乗ることができます。

Flight time is from 9:00a.m. to sunset.

飛行時間は朝９時から日没までです。

It's rain or shine.

雨天決行です。

The capacity of the helicopter

is 6 persons.

ヘリコプターの定員は６人です。

　　　　英会話サークルから家に帰って復習しようと思い、パソコンを開けたら、偶然にも

　　　　世界最古の、地上で最も高いソススプレイ砂丘の写真がパソコンの画面になっていました。

　　　　その名も、「Dune 45」と言います。　日本語で言えば４５砂丘です。

●マカレナ（スペインの歌と踊り）とオカリナ（楽器）はよく似ています。

●ど田舎　を英語で言うと？　　　countryside でもOKだけども、ちゃかして言う時には

　　　　in thr middle of nowhere　　人里離れた辺鄙な所に

　　　　Our teacher lived in the middle of nowhere in the past.

　　　　私たちの先生は昔、ど田舎に住んでいました。

　　　　先生が　”ど田舎”ということばを知っていたのが、おもしろかったです。

　　　２４００㎞を約５か月間で歩いたそうです。

　　　ということは……　I calculated the distance how far Basho walked a day.

　　　芭蕉が一日に歩いた距離を計算しました。

　　　２４００÷１５０＝１６　　　一日に平均１６㎞を歩きました。

●金がお金の時代ー紙がお金の時代ー現物のお金がない時代

　　　　　これから、お金はどうなっていくのでしょうか？

●バレエとバレーボール

　　　　Ballet（バレー）　　　　Volleyball（ボリーボール）

　　　　バレエや競歩は自然な動きでないから、体に悪いスポーツ

●客のいろいろ

　　　１　招待客、滞在客、泊り客、お客様　　　　guest　（ゲストゥ）

　　　　　　　家や催し事に招かれてもてなしを受ける客。いわゆるゲスト。

　　　　　　　guest　を招いた側・もてなす側は、host　（主催者）と呼ばれます。

　　　　　　　レストランやホテルなどのサービス業も客を　guest と呼びます。　　　　　　　

　　　２　訪問客　　　　visitor　（ビジダー）

　　　　　　　ふいに家に来た来客は、基本的に　visitor　と呼ばれます。

　　　　　　　病院の見舞客も　visitor

　　　　　　　訪問する側が当人の目的のために、自発的に人や場所を訪れるというニュアンス。

　　　　　　　社交的な目的、観光目的、商売目的の場合なども含みます。

　　３　観客、見物客、テレビの視聴者、聴衆、　　　　audience （オーディエンス）

　　　　　　　映画・舞台の観客、・コンサートの聴衆、・テレビ・ラジオの視聴者

　　　　　　　audience　は何人でも、基本的に単数扱いとなる。

　　　　　　　多さ少なさは　large 　small　で表現します。

　　４　買い物客、取引先、顧客、お得意さん、利用客　　　　customer

　　　　　　　顧客は　client　（クライアントゥ）とも表現されます。

　　５　乗客　　　passenger　（パッセンジャー）
