My driver K invited me to his house.
ドライバーのKが彼の家に招待してくれたんです。
Lots of people, his parents, his grandmother, 　　his mother's sister and her son (cousin), 　　his grandma's sister, other relatives, neighbors, 　　waited for me.
彼の家では、彼の両親、おばあちゃん、 　　お母さんの妹とその息子さん（つまりいとこ）、 　　おばあちゃんの妹さん、他の親戚の人たち、近所の人たちなど 　　たくさんの人たちが私を待っていてくれました。

Those foods were the (hottest) spiciest 　　and most delicious 　　since I had food I have ever eaten. He knew that I loved hot and spicy food, 　　so he told his mother about it.
お母さんの作ってくれた食べ物はそれまで食べたスリランカフードの中で 　　一番辛くて、味も一番美味しかったです。 彼は私が辛いもの好きだと知っていたので、そのことを 　　お母さんに伝えてくれていたんです。

There were paintings and a statue of Buddha, 　　I asked him , "When do you pray ?" 　　he said, "We pray twice a day, morning and evening."

I guess the temple behind Buddha is Temple of the Tooth. 仏陀の背後の寺はキャンディの 仏歯寺だと思いますが。

My driver named K was a 25 year old Sinhalese, 　　he had been a tourist driver for 6 years 　　after high school.
ドライバーのKは２５歳のシンハラ人で、高校卒業後、６年間 　　観光ドライバーをしていました。
He could speak English, French 　　and a little bit of Japanese a little.
彼は英語とフランス語と日本語もちょっぴりだけ話せました。
He told me, 　　"Our company, French speaking only me."
彼は「会社でフランス語を話せるドライバーは私だけ。」と 　　言っていました。
I asked him, "French people speak English, don't they?" 　　he answered, " 　　"Southern French people are not good at English."

One day, when I was in the car, 　　he got a mobile phone call.

He is talking with an old shopkeeper in Anuradhapura. アヌラーダプラの茶店のおじいちゃんと話しをしています。
When I first visited Sri Lanka, I told him, 　　"People say, they have elephants in temple. 　　That's amazing. I wanna see it."
スリランカに行って最初の頃に、私は彼にに言いました。 　　「スリランカではお寺で象を飼っているんだってね。 　　すごいね。見たいな〜。」
He remembered it well, 　　he showed an elephant in the temple near his house.

Most Japanese people have Buddhist style funeral, 　　I want my family to play my favorite songs 　　instead of Sutra at my funeral.
