【紙で作られた夢のお家】～60歳からの香港旅～

The 8th dayーNovember 17th 2018 (Saturday)　　

８日目―２０１８年　１１月１７日（土）

That day, we went to the Funeral Street (it's a popular name)

in the east of Kowloon Peninsula

and North Point in Hong Kong Island

with our eldest daughter who came to Hong Kong from Kagoshima the day before.

There are direct flights between Kagoshima and Hong Kong.

この日は、前日に鹿児島から香港に来た長女と一緒に、

九龍半島の東側にある葬儀通り（俗称です）

と香港島の北角（ノースポイント）に行きました。

鹿児島と香港間には直行便があります。

Whampoa

尖沙咀（チムサアチョイ）駅から地下鉄赤ラインで

油麻池（ヤウマーティー）駅で緑ラインに乗り換えて

黄埔（ワンポア）駅に行きました。

Priority seats are pretty.

優先席が可愛いです。

We went out from A exit

of the Whampoa Station.

黄埔（ワンポア）駅のＡ出口から出ました。

The tourists didn't walk around here.

このあたりは観光客は歩いていませんでした。

We went while asking local people

walking the road,

"Excuse me, Could you tell me

how to get to funeral hall　"世界　World"?

in Cantonese.

道を歩いている地元の人に

「すみません。葬儀場の”世界”はどこですか？」

と広東語でききながら行きました。

On our way, suddenly a red buiding was

on the middle of the sidewalk…….

突然、歩道の真ん中に赤い建物が……。

Local people offered incense sticks

and prayed.

地元の人々がお線香をあげてお参りしていました。

This small shrine called "Hokora"

enshrine the local god

who protect the local people.

この祠（ほこら）はこの地区の人々を守ってくれる

土地の神様をまつってあります。

It has a history of over 100 years.

この祠は１００年以上の歴史があります。

Why is the Hokora

on the middle of the sidewalk?

なぜ祠は道の真ん中にあるのでしょうか？

When this sidewalk was made,

it was going to be torn down.

この歩道を作る時に取り壊されそうになりました。

But the construction workers got sick

one by one,

so the construction stopped.

ところが工事の人が次から次と病気になり、

工事が中止になりました。

Was the local god angry ……

土地の神様が怒ったのでしょうか……。

I knew the information from the TVprogram

"世界ふれあい街歩き”on NHK by chance

after we came back from HK.

この情報は香港から帰ってから、

たまたまNHKのテレビ番組の

「世界ふれあり街歩き」で知りました。

The man sitting the chair is

manager of the shrine.

椅子に座っている男性が

この祠の管理人さんです。

The panda is eating Ramen.

I asked T-chan about the ad.

この広告についてＴちゃんにききました。

How many is 乙?

　乙名とは何人のことでしょうか？

乙 means 2.

乙とは２の意味です。

＄17000起 means from ＄17000

＄１７０００起　　とは　

１７０００香港ドルからの意味です。

Legal holiday, Paid holiday,

bonus, paying cash OK

法定休日あり。有給休暇あり。

ボーナスあり。現金支払い可。

This ad is for hair transplant,

not wig.

これはかつらではなく、毛の植毛の広告でした。

We arrived the Funeral Street.(popular name).

There are 3 funeral halls and related funeral shops around here(Hung Hom).

葬儀通りに着きました。

このあたり（ホンハム）には、３つの葬儀場と葬儀関連のお店が軒を連ねています。

related 　何かに関連している時は、その「何か」の後に

related　をくっつければよい

Related funeral flower shop,

urn shop, casket shop,

and offering of altar shop and so on.

葬儀用専門のお花屋さんや

骨壺屋さん、棺桶屋さん、

そして祭壇のお供え物屋さんなど

In Hong Kong,

the number of funeral hall and crematory are

less than the number of dead people,

so it takes about 2 weeks

to funeral.

香港では亡くなる人の数よりも、

葬儀場や火葬場の数が少ないので、

葬式までに約２週間かかるそうです。

The dead body is kept in the freezer

for 2 weeks.

その２週間の間、遺体は冷凍保存されます。

These are Chinese-style

traditional funeral wreath.

中式花（中国式伝統的な花輪）です。

T-chan said,

"The wreath of opening celebration

of pachinko parlor(gamble)

looks like funeral.

Ｔちゃんが言うには、

「日本のパチンコ屋の開店祝いの花輪が

葬式みたいだ」そうです（笑）。

I think so, too.

私もそう思います。

These are Christian-style

western funeral wreath.

西式花（キリスト教式洋風花輪）です。

The room number and the deceased's name

in the funeral hall,"世界””万国”,

were written in front of the flower shop.

花屋の前には、葬儀場の”世界”と”万国”の

部屋の番号と故人の名前が

書いてありました。

They burn fake money in the wake.

お通夜には、偽物のお金を燃やします。

And there is washing a dead body ceremony.

また湯かんの儀式があります。

In Japan,we wash a real dead body,

on the other hand, in Hong Kong,

they put a paper dead body

in the paper bathtub.

日本の場合は遺体を本当にお湯で洗いますが、

香港では、紙製のお風呂で紙製の故人を入れます。

To be honest,

I'd like to attend a funeral in Hong Kong.

正直言うと香港のお葬式に列席してみたいです。

The two funeral halls stand side by side.

葬儀場が二つ並んで建っています。

They are "世界”and ”万国”

”世界”と”万国”です。

The relatives and the friends

were not wearing formal dress unlike Japan.

親戚やお友達は、日本と違って礼服を着ていません。

I think it's good.

いいと思います。

This is a 3 story house.

３階建ての一軒家です。

The first floor is a garage.

１階は車庫になっているようです。

They burn the house made of

bamboo sticks and paper

with dead body.

この竹ひごと紙で作った家を

ご遺体と一緒に燃やすんですね。

Hong Kong is overpopulated,

most people live in apartment.

so a house is their ideal house ?

人口密度が非常に高く

ほとんどの人がアパートに住む香港では

一軒家が理想の家なんでしょうか？

A house with elevator in afterlife……

あの世ではエレベーターつきの一軒家で……。

I could see the inside of the house

from the window..

窓から家の中も見れました。

They made of paper not only furniture

but also everything.

家具だけでなく、

何でもかんでも紙で作ってあります。

I'm sure there are mobile phone,

credit card, PC and so on

made of paper these days..

最近は、紙製の携帯電話や

クレジットカードや

パソコンなどもきっとあるでしょうね。

It's quite different from Japan

that dead person leave quietly

with only "Six mon coins".

六文銭だけを持って

静かに旅立つ日本とは随分違います。

I prefer Hong Kong to Japan.

私は日本よりも香港の方が好きです。

「AだけでなくBも」　not only A but also B

I like not only Spring but also Fall.　私は春だけでなく、秋も好きです。

This is a funeral car.

霊柩車です。

We wanted to go to North Point in Hong Kong Island in the afternoon,

we walked to Hung Hom Ferry terminal.

午後は香港島の北角（ノースポイント）に行きたかったので、私たちはホンハムフェリー乗り場まで歩きました。

While walking,

I saw a big ship suddenly

in the tall buildings.

歩いていたら、高層ビルの中に突然　巨大な船が！

Actually this ship was Aeon in Japan.

この船、実は日本のイオンだったんですよ。

And huge Pikachu !

そして巨大ピカチューまで！

We arrived the ferry terminal at 00:30 p.m.

午後１２時半にフェリー乗り場に着きました。

Perhaps some housekeepers called Ama

relaxed in front of the terminal.

フェリー乗り場の前でくつろいでいるのは

多分アマさん（家政婦）たちです。

（７５０００円）の罰金を払わなければなりません。

We took the 1:05 ferry to North Point.

私たちは午後１：０５発の

北角行きのフェリーに乗りました。

They are "Ama"wearing chador

from Indonesia.

チャドルをかぶっている彼女たちは

インドネシアからのアマさんたちです。

Live-in housekeeper is called

"Ama" in Hong Kong.

住み込みのお手伝いさんは

香港ではアマと呼ばれています。

I talked them a little in English

while waiting the ferry.

フェリーを待っている間、少しだけ英語で話しました。

We talked about the big earthquake

in Indonesia.

インドネシアの大地震の話をしました。

This ferry was ordinary

unlike beautiful Star Ferry.

美しいスターフェリーと違い、普通のフェリーでした。

It took just 10 minutes to North Point in Hong Kong Island by the ferry.

香港島の北角（ノースポイント）までは、フェリーでわずか１０分くらいでした。

I saw a poster of Agnes Chan,

who is a essayist and singer

in Hong Kong

香港のエッセイストで歌手の

アグネスチャンのポスターを見ました。

She became popular singer

to sing "Poppy" in Japan over 40 years ago.

彼女は４０年以上前に、日本で

「ひなげしの花」を歌って人気歌手となりました。

The real chinese name is 陳　美齢

called Chan Meiling in Cantonese.

本当の中国名は陳　美齢

広東語でチャン・メイリンさんといいます。

Agnes is a Christian name.

I didn't know that.

アグネスはカトリックの洗礼名なんですね、

知りませんでした～。

She graduated Catholic mission school

in the high residential area in Hong Kong Island.

香港島の高級住宅街にある

カトリック系ミッションスクールを卒業しました。

When I asked this young man

about the place of

"Lee Keung Kee North Point Egg Waffles”,

he took us there kindly ! !

”北角鶏蛋仔”の場所をこのおにいさんにたずねたら、

親切にも連れていってくれました！！

He took us walking for 10 minutes.

約１０分も歩いて連れていってくれました。

He told us "I'll go fast, please follow me."

彼は私たちに言いました。

「僕が先に行くので、ついてきて下さい。

Many people stood in a line

to buy Egg Waffles.

たくさんの人が鶏蛋仔（ガイダンジャイ）を

買うために行列していました。

It costed 18HK＄ each.

１枚１８香港ドル（２７０円）でした。

The main ingredients are

eggs, sugar and flour.

鶏蛋仔の主な材料は卵・砂糖・小麦粉です。

Egg Waffles pan looks like Takoyaki pan,

but the shape is hexagon.

タコ焼き器に似ていますが形が六角形です。

I had wanted to eat this～.

これが食べたかったんです～。

According to T-chan,

there are this sweets in Chinese mainland, too.

Ｔちゃんによると、このお菓子は

中国本土でもあるそうです。

This is not own Hong Kong sweets.

香港独自のお菓子ではないんですね。

It was crispy on the outside

and chewy on the inside.

外側はカリカリ、中はモチモチでした。

It was fun　and tasty

to tear off and eat them

one by one.

一つ一つむしり取って食べるのが楽しくて美味しかった。

I saw a repair workshop of Mahjong.

麻雀の修理屋さんを見ました。

Mahjong is a national play in Hong Kong.

麻雀は香港の国民的な遊びです。

When 4 persons gather,

they used to play mahjong in the past,

but it became unpopular now.

昔は４人集まれば麻雀で遊んだものですが、

今は人気がなくなってきています。

We can get on the Double-decker tram (2-story tram)

just in Hong Kong Island.

２階建てトラムは、香港島でだけ乗ることができます。

First we got on the tram.

まずこのトラムに乗りました。

It's bound for Western Market in Sheung Wan.

上環の西港城（ウエスタンマーケット）行きです。

Tram fare was 2.6HK＄(Adult)

運賃は大人　２．６香港ドル（４０円）でした。

Elderly person 　1.2HK＄

長者（高齢者）　１．２香港ドル（１８円）

We could pay it by the Octopus Card.

オクトパスカードで払えました。

We had to get off the tram soon,

so we didn't go up the second floor.

すぐに降りなければならなかったので

２階には上りませんでした。

There were variety colors of tram,

I like simple red tram.

いろいろな色のトラムがありましたが、

私はシンプルな赤いトラムが好きです。

A person were riding a bicycle

on the railroad openly.

人が線路の上を堂々と自転車で走っていました。

We got off the tram in the first one,

Fortress Hill Station.

一駅目のほう台山駅で降りました。

We took the tram bound for North Point.

私たちは北角行きのトラムに乗りました。

We could sit the first low seat

from the front in the second floor.

２階の一番前の席に座れました。

This was the special seat of

Double-decker tram.

２階建てトラムの特等席でした～。

Our tram turned left the corner

at right angles.

私たちのトラムは左に直角に曲がりました。

This is the market in North Point.

北角の市場です。

There was a truck on the railroad.

レールの上をトラックが通っていました。

Actually they can move

on only the railroad

because there are many shops

on both sides.

ていうか、お店が両側に迫っていて、

レールの上しか移動できないんです。

It was an open-air market

in the downtown area.

下町情緒あふれる街の露店市場でした。

We arrived at the last stop, North Point.

終点の北角駅に着きました。

The lighting of the meat shop was bright red.

肉屋の照明が真っ赤でした。

Hong Konger like red meat, don't they ?

香港人は赤いお肉がお好き？

I think right orange and left one

are the same.

右と左のみかんは同じものだと思います。

People thinking "It's too much trouble to peel."

choose the left one.

「皮をむくのがめんどくさ～い」という人は

左のみかんを選びます。

These vegetables were much more fresh

than the vegetables in supermarket.

スーパーに比べてずっと新鮮な野菜たち。

at the shop.

このお店でシューマイを立ち食いしました。

while walking in Hong Kong.

香港の街を歩いていると、あっちにもこっちにも

宝石店の”周大福”がありました。

Hong Konger and Chinese

save up money to buy pure gold products.

香港人や中国人は純金製品を買って蓄財します。

Because bill might become wastepaper

historically.

歴史的に紙幣は紙くずになるかもしれないからです。

We had a break in KFC.

ケンタッキーフライドチキンでひと休みしました。

We went back to Tsim Sha Tsui (MTR) from North Point Station

via Admiralty Station.

地下鉄で北角駅（ノースポイント）から金鐘駅（アドミラルティ）で乗り換えて、

尖沙咀（チムサアチョイ）へ帰りました。

We had a dinner with eldest daughter

in the local restaurant.

夕食は長女とローカルなレストランで食べました。

Tea was free there.

ここではお茶は無料でした。

It's difficult

that it's different depending on the restaurant.

店によって違うのがむずかしいです。

　上海蟹のおかゆです。

It was quite different from Japanese porridge.

日本のおかゆとはかなり違います。

It was close to rice gruel,

not porridge, my feelings.

私の感覚ですが、おかゆというよりも、

重湯（おもゆ）に近いです。

I couldn't wait for it,

but the taste was not good

for the price.

楽しみにしていましたが

高い割に大したことがなかったです。

I just watched the Guest House

that the eldest daughter stayed,

before going back to our hotel.

ホテルに帰る前に、長女が泊まっていた

ゲストハウスの見学に行きました。

It was in the back street of iSQUARE.

イースクエアの裏通りにありました。

I have never stayed in Guest House,

so I was interested in it.

私はゲストハウスに泊まったことがないので

どんなところなのか興味がありました。

品遊旅舎 was in the seventh floor

of Lock Road Building.

　”品遊旅舎”　は楽道ビルの７階にありました。

Shower room and toilet were

in the same space.

シャワールームとトイレが

同じ空間にありました。

Some Japanese don't feel comfortable for it.

日本人の中にはそれに抵抗がある人もいます。

　　　　　　その象徴の自由の女神の自由はlibrety でなければならないということなんですね。
