Today is Hina-Doll’s Festival, isn't it ?
今日はひな祭りですね。
There were 2 sets of Hina-Dolls at my house in my childhood.
私が子供の時、家には雛人形が２組ありました。
One was my mother’s doll from my grandmother’s parents’ house, and the other was mine from mother’s parents’ house.
１つは私の祖母の実家からのもの、そしてもう１つは母の実家からのものでした。
In Japan, we have a custom of giving Hina-doll from mother’s parents’ house when mother gives birth to a girl.
日本では、女の子を出産した時に、実家から雛人形が贈られる習慣があるのです。
It's a tradition here in Japan, but I don’t think it’s common these days.
それはここ日本の伝統ですが、最近ではあまり一般的でないとおもいます。
When I was a baby, we used to celebrate the Hina-Doll's Festival in the lunar calendar in Japan.
私が赤ん坊だった頃は、日本では旧暦でひな祭りを祝ったものなのです。
I searched lunar calendar on line, for example, this year, it fall on April 9th , and in 1954 I was born, it fell on April 5th.
インターネットで旧暦を調べてみたら、例えば、今年は４月９日、 そして私が生まれた１９５４年には４月５日が旧暦の３月３日にあたります。
fall on 記念日などが〜にあたる fell onはその過去形
I have a picture of the evidence.
私はその証拠写真を持っています。
This is my mother and me(cute!). 母と私（かわいい！）です。 We sat in front of 2 sets of Hina-Dolls. ２つのひな人形の前に私達が座っていました。 Back of the photo says, "It was taken on April 3rd the showa era 29, 10 days after birthday." この写真の裏には、昭和２９年４月３日 生後10日目と書いてありました	These are special sweets called "Kinkato"in Japan. これらは日本で”金花糖”と呼ばれているお菓子です。 They are displayed in Hina-Doll's Festival. ひな祭りに飾られます。
I was born on the end of March, so that means, my family used the lunar calendar.
私は３月の終わりに生まれたので、私の家族は旧暦を使ったということになりますね。
I have a clear memory of the Hina-Doll's in a warm spring day.
私はぽかぽかした春の日のひな人形をはっきり覚えています。
Solar calendar doesn't match season event.
太陽暦は季節の行事に合っていません。
match （動詞）　合う、調和する、つり合う
Anyway I don’t have those 2 sets of Hina-dolls now.
さて、現在、私はその２組の雛人形を持っていません。
My house burned in the fire when I was second year at elementary school.
私の家は、小学校２年生の時に、火事で焼けてしまったのです。
The origin of the fire was next door neighbor.
火元は隣の家でした。
Then, I went to school, and my family were at home.
その時、私は学校に行っていて、家族は家にいました。
My family were father, mother, younger brother(baby), grandfather, grandmother, 2 uncles, and me.
私の家族は父、母、弟（赤ちゃん）、祖父、祖母、２人の叔父、そして私でした。
I heard there were lots of onlookers.
たくさんの野次馬がいたそうです。
One of the neighbors took my younger brother ( he was baby) to her house.
近所の人たちの一人が、私の弟（赤ん坊でした）を彼女の家に連れて行ってくれました。
She shouted my mother “I take the baby. 　Don’t worry”
彼女は私の母に「赤ちゃん連れて行くよ。心配しないで。」と叫びました。
My father phoned my grandmother, “This is Takashi. Please help us. Our house is on fire now. “ then, he hanged up the phone soon.
私の父は祖母に電話して、「たかしです。助けて下さい。今、家が火事です。」 と言ってすぐに電話を切ってしまいました。
At then, my grandma thought “Which is it? I have 2 sun-in-low named Takashi. 　I’m in trouble.”
その時、私の祖母は「どっちだろう？　 私には二人のたかしという名前の義理の息子がいる。あ〜困った。」と思いました。
She was hanging around with wrapping cloth.
祖母は風呂敷を持って、うろうろしていました。
When I was studying at school, my aunt called for me.
私が学校で勉強していた時に、叔母が私を迎えに来ました。
My house was completely destroyed by fire except kitchen.
私の家は台所を除いて、火事ですっかり焼けました。
That’s why, my hina-dolls burned.
そういう訳で、私の雛人形は燃えてしまったのでした。
Each of family had to live in some another house until a new house completed.
家族は新しい家が完成するまで、それぞれ別の家で暮らさなければなりませんでした
My mother, brother and I lived in my mother’s side grandparents’s house.
母と弟と私は母方の祖父母の家で暮らしました。
My grandparents and uncles(father’s younger brother) lived in my uncle’s(father’s older brother) house.
祖父母と叔父たち（父の弟）は伯父（父の兄）の家で暮らしました。
And my father lived a kitchen in burned house alone.
そして父は焼けた家の台所で一人で暮らしました。
He called for us by scooter on every Sundays, we rode on it by 4 people.
父は毎週日曜日にスクーターで私達を迎えに来てくれ、私達は４人乗りしました。
Father drove it, mother sat on the back seat carrying baby(brother) on her back, and I stood in front of father.
父が運転し、母は赤ん坊（弟）をおんぶして後ろの座席に座り、そして私は父の前に立ちました。
It's just like a scene from South-east Asia , isn’t it?
まるで東南アジアの光景のようでしょう？
It’s my sweet memories.
私の懐かしい思い出です。
